About Me
I offer a unique therapeutic approach combining empathy and creativity. With over 40 years of experience, I strive to create a safe space for clients, fostering open-mindedness that encourages personal exploration and emotional healing. My commitment is to enhance the lives of those I serve through dedicated therapeutic practices.

My focus is on families, individuals, couples, and adolescents. I have a Masters in Education in Counseling from Antioch University and a Masters of Clinical Social Work from Simmons College.
​
I hold both Virginia and Massachusetts licenses for practicing psychotherapy. I am a certified Social Work Supervisor for the state of Virginia and certified Values Realization Trainer.

I have also been an adjunct professor of Master's Degree courses in Family Therapy and Advanced Clinical Practice with Children and Adolescents.

My Approach
I believe that during times of exploration and life crises it is helpful to have a safe and supportive environment with a caring, knowledgeable professional to reflect and learn with. Challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, readjustment to loss and other changes can be disarming and disorienting. Complicated family dynamics, transitions, and developmental tasks along with ineffective communication patterns are hard to untangle alone. When faced with conflicting wants and needs as well as difficult problem-solving and decision-making situations, having a professional who you can confide in and not feel judged by is a welcomed relief.
